Add a second clock to the Windows taskbar

1. Right-click the clock in the taskbar
2. Click Adjust Date/Time
3. Click Add Clocks For Different Time Zones (Windows 10) or the Additional Clocks tab (Windows 7)
4. Select Show This Clock, pick a time zone, and then add a descriptive label for the custom clock
5. Click Ok

Disable desktop ads in PDF Architect

Run PDFCreator

press Application Settings

go to tab PDF Architect

press Launch PDF Architect

you can disable the notifications under help->options->general->notification system.

Find All the Acronyms in Word Documents

1. In Word, Open the Find window (Ctrl + F)
2. Click More and then check the box labeled Use Wildcards
3. In the Find What field, enter this phrase: <[A-Z]{2,}>
4. Click Reading Highlight, and then click Highlight All.

type 'regedit'
click yes when prompted for admin access
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NlaSvc\Parameters\Internet\
Double-click EnableActiveProbing on the right hand side

Add the switch user button

3. You can now set and manage the Local Group Policies on your computer to how you want them.

In the left pane, click on to expand Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, System, and Logon. (See screenshot below)

No sound in speakers/headphones when HDMI connected

Apparently it's not possible to output sound through both the HDMI and the headphone jack simultaneously.  But If you want to watch video through HDMI and listen via headphone jack do this:

Right click on the speaker icon in the taskbar > left click playback devices > right click HDMI > disable

change the default playback device for the internal soundcard instead of the HDMI
