MSN homepage keeps opening up in my default browser

Press ‘Windows + R’
type 'regedit'
click yes when prompted for admin access
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NlaSvc\Parameters\Internet\
Double-click EnableActiveProbing on the right hand side
Set the value to 0 and press OK
